The most dangerous air base in the world is Futenma base in Okinawa, southern part of Japan. This is a picture of it. You can see many private houses, schools, and day-care centers around it.

Listen to the sounds there. Planes and helicopters fly around there day and night. A scene like this can’t be seen in U.S because it is against the law.
The lands on it are owned by civilians. U.S. military seized it without permission just after the occupation of Okinawa in 1945. This is a violation of Hague Convention IV - Laws and Customs of War on Land Art.46. It is as follows.
Family honour and rights, the lives of persons, and private property, as well as religious convictions and practice, must be respected. Private property cannot be confiscated.
Futenma base must be removed and U.S army must return the lands to the owners.
Campbell, Assistant Secretary of State, said that U.S. will not make a deadline of Japan’s determination of the relocation place of Futenma base according to the Asahi Sinbun. This means U.S will keep using it for a long period from now on. Okinawans are saying ‘No’ to new U.S. air base again and again. There is also no place for the relocation both in Okinawa and in Japan. Please understand this and do the unconditional removal for the future friendly ties between Japan and U.S.
